One of the reasons I haven’t written a post this week is because I lost my Nokia N95 on the way to watch the Charity Shield match between Man Utd and Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday (some pics later). Luckily I left my phone in the back of a cab, and the cabbie handed it in. Unfortunately, the phone is still making it over to the Cabbie lost & found office at Baker St, so I won’t get my phone back until the weekend.
At first I thought it would be nice to have a bit of a break from the constant calls and SMSs, but it’s gone horribly wrong:
- I do most of my RSS reading on my Nokia N95 using Google Reader, so I haven’t been able to find ideas for posts
- My watch is currently being repaired, and I hadn’t realised how much I now rely on my phone to tell me the time. Travelling to work is awful as I have no idea if I’m late or early!
- I no longer get to manage my personal email account and I also now can’t access MSN Messenger
- I have no mobile music
- My diary at work is now a mess, and I have to print my schedule out every day and carry it around with me
- Oh, and nobody can call me or SMS me
I didn’t realise until this week how dependent I’d become on my phone. I will definitely take more care of my Nokia N95 when I get it back!
Here are the Charity Shield photos from Sunday. The new Wembley is an absolutely amazing stadium with a great buzz-lightyears ahead of the old stadium. I think the new stadium will be England’s secret weapon, as it is bound to intimidate the opposition and raise our players.
As you can see we had pretty good seats…and as for the hospitality, well……
